Veggie Pizza Recipe

INGREDIENTS

(1 cup = 250ml)
3 medium-sized pizza bases
4-5 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
2-3 medium garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Red wine (optional)
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
Catch black pepper
Salt, as required
For toppings
1 onion, sliced
1 capsicum, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
8-9 pitted green and black olives (optional)
Grated mozzarella cheese
Fresh/dried herbs

Accompaniments with Veggie Pizza

  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Sriracha Sauce
  • Chili Flakes and Oregano

INSTRUCTIONS

Making the Pizza Sauce

1) Blanch the tomatoes and then chop them.
2) Heat oil. Fry the chopped garlic. Add the tomatoes and wine. Let them cook uncovered for 4-5 minutes.
3) Add the herbs, table salt, Catch black pepper powder & Catch white pepper powder. Mix well. Cook further for 3-4 minutes.
Assembling the Veggie Pizza
1) Brush some olive oil on the pizza base. Spread the tomato sauce on the base.
2) Top with the veggies and spread the cheese.
3) Bake the pizza in a pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.
4) Serve hot.

Recipe Notes/Suggestions:

  • You can sauté the veggies in olive oil, if you want, for extra taste.
  • Leftover pizza sauce can be refrigerated.
