Veg Jalfrezi Recipe

INGREDIENTS ¼ cup chopped carrot ¼ cup chopped tomato ¼ cup chopped cauliflower 1 tbsp juice of lemon 2 ½ tbsp cumin seeds 1 ¼ tbsp Catch cumin powder 1 pinch kasuri methi powder 1 ½ tsp ginger paste ¼ cup green beans ¼ cup chopped capsicum ¼ cup chopped onion 2 chopped green chilies 50 gms butter 2 ½ tsp Catch red chili powder 1 ¼ tbsp Catch black pepper powder 2 pinches salt 1 ½ tsp garlic paste 1 handful chopped coriander leaves Accompaniments with Veg Jalfrezi:

  • Roti
  • Rice


  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium flame.
  1. Add the ginger and garlic paste along with cumin seeds and fry for 20-30 seconds.
  2. Once they are cooked, add the chopped vegetables and mix well.
  3. After 30 seconds, add the lemon juice, Catch red chili powder, Catch cumin powder, Salt, Catch black pepper powder and kasuri methi in the vegetables.
  1. Stir to mix well and cook for about 5-10 minutes or until the vegetables are cooked.
  1. After the vegetables are cooked well, garnish them with coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  1. Serve hot.
