Russian Salad Recipe


1 medium to large carrot
1 medium to large potato
½ cup green peas
¼ cup beans, chopped
¾ cup mayonnaise
1 small stick of celery, finely chopped
Lettuce leaves, as required (garnishing)
Slices of tomato, capsicum (garnishing)
Salt, as required
Catch black pepper powder, as required

Accompaniments with Russian Salad:

  • Eggs
  • Soup


  1. Boil the carrot, peas, potatoes and beans, you could also microwave them till they are completely cooked.
  1. When the veggies are cooked, peel the potato and chop it with the rest of the veggies.
  1. Chop the celery. Mix the celery, chopped veggies and mayonnaise. Add salt and Catch black pepper powder, as required.
  1. Garnish the salad with lettuce leaves, slices of tomatoes, capsicums.
  1. Serve the Russian Salad.

Recipe Notes/Suggestions:

  • You can also add some boiled eggs to this salad, for added nutrition.
  • If you do not consume eggs, you can also opt for an eggless mayonnaise.
