Quesadilla Recipe

INGREDIENTS

For the Quesadilla:
1 packet corn tortilla
100 gm exotic vegetables, chopped
3 pieces jalapenos
Mozzarella cheese
Salt, as required
2 tsp oil
Chili flakes, as required
2 tbsp Salsa

For the Mexican Sauce:
500 gm boiled tomatoes, paste
100 gm onions
3 garlic cloves
2 green chilies
½ tsp cumin seeds
Few basil leaves
½ tsp oregano herb
2 tsp Tomato ketchup

Salt and sugar as required
1 tsp Catch black pepper powder
½ tsp Catch white pepper powder
2 tsp oil
Accompaniments with Quesadilla:

  • Nachos
  • Hard Taco Shells with Salsa

INSTRUCTIONS

For the Mexican Sauce:
1) Heat oil in a pan.
2) Add cumin seeds, green chilies, garlic, onion, tomato paste, basil leaves, oregano and sauté till brownish red.
3) Then add sugar, salt, tomato ketchup, Catch black pepper powder, Catch white pepper powder, bring to a boil.
For the Quesadilla:
1) Take the Tortilla and spread the sauce over it.
2) Add a small portion of cheese over the sauce.
3) In one half of the tortilla, put all the veggies and jalapenos.
4) Add chili flakes on top. Now put remaining portion of cheese.
5) Fold the other half of the tortilla over this. Brush oil and cook on a tawa.
6) Cut into 3 pieces and enjoy with salsa.
Recipe Notes/Suggestions:

  • The corn tortilla can also be prepared at home.
  • The spices can be adjusted as per your taste.
