Papdi Chaat Recipe

INGREDIENTS

24 crisp papdis
250 grams chilled fresh curd whisked till smooth
1 large boiled potato peeled and chopped
2 cups boiled chickpeas
1 small to medium onion, finely chopped
1 small to medium tomato, finely chopped
¼ cup coriander leaves
½ cup mint coriander chutney
½ cup tamarind dates chutney
1 tsp Catch red chili powder
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
1-2 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp Catch table salt
1-2 tsp lime juice

Accompaniments with Papdi Chaat:

  • Meethi Chutney
  • Dahi

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Arrange the papdis in a plate.
  2. Top it up with boiled potatoes and cooked chickpeas.
  3. Add the onions and tomatoes, if adding, at this stage.
  4. Sprinkle some chaat masala and Catch red chili powder on it.
  5. Top these with curd as much as you want.
  6. Top this with green chutney and tamarind dates chutney.
  7. Sprinkle some chaat masala, Catch red chili powder, Catch table salt and cumin powder.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Add a dash of lime juice to the papdi chaat.
  10. Serve fresh.

Recipe Notes/Suggestions:

  • Alter the seasoning as per your taste.
  • You can also sprinkle some sev in the end.
