Moong Dal Cheela Recipe

INGREDIENTS

¼ cup split green gram
1 ½ inch ginger piece
5-6 cloves of garlic chopped
1 medium online chopped
3 finely chopped green chilies
Catch table salt to taste
¼ tsp Catch red chili powder
Oil to shallow fry
¾ cup green chutney

Accompaniments with Moong Dal Cheela:

  • Ketchup
  • Dahi
  • Chutney

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak moong dal in 3 cups of water for about half an hour.
  2. Drain and grind with ginger, garlic, onion green chilies and Catch table salt to a smooth batter.
  3. Add Catch red chili powder and mix well.
  4. Heat a tawa and grease it. Spread the batter in a disc.
  5. Cook on medium heat.
  6. Cook the other side too and spread some green chutney over the cheela.
  7. Serve hot.

Recipe Notes/Suggestions:

  • Alter the seasoning as per your taste.
  • You can also have a paneer stuffing in the moong dal cheela for some added taste.
