Mooli Paratha Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1 medium to large mooli
1-2 green chilies finely chopped
Catch red chili powder, as required
Catch garam masala powder, as required
Whole wheat flour
Ghee/oil for frying
White butter (optional)
Catch table salt as required

Accompaniments with Mooli Paratha:

  • Dahi
  • Green Chutney
  • White Butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare the whole wheat dough and keep aside.
  2. Grate the mooli and keep aside for 15-20 minutes and later squeeze the water from it.
  3. Add chopped green chilies to the grated mooli.
  4. Add Catch table salt, Catch red chili powder and Catch garam masala powder to the mooli stuffing.
  5. Roll the dough with this stuffing.
  6. Make sure not to add too much stuffing in each roll of dough as this may lead to the paratha breaking.
  7. Heat the tava.
  8. Fry the mooli paratha on the tava with ghee or oil.
  9. The paratha should be golden crisp on each side.
  10. Serve hot with white butter.
