Lemon Chicken Recipe

INGREDIENTS Marinade: 300 grams chicken boneless cubes 1 ½ tbsp. oil 1 tsp. ginger paste 2 tbsp. Lemon juice Catch table salt, as required ¼ tsp. lemon zest (optional) ¾ tsp. Catch red chili powder 1/8 tsp. Catch turmeric powder Other ingredients: ½ tbsp. oil 1 tbsp. chopped ginger ½ tbsp. garlic 1 green chili slit 1 large onion chopped ½ tsp. sugar 1 tsp. Catch garam masala powder ½ tbsp. soya sauce 1 handful celery/coriander leaves Accompaniments with Lemon Chicken:

  • Sichuan Sauce
  • Fried Rice
  • Onion Wedges


  1. Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients including Catch table salt, Catch red chili powder and Catch turmeric powder. Set this aside for about 1 hour or more. It can also be refrigerated overnight.
  2. Heat a pan with oil, add ginger, garlic and fry until nice smell begins to waft.
  3. Add onions, chili, sugar and Catch salt. Fry until onions turn pink.
  4. Add marinated chicken and stir. Fry until the chicken is half cooked.
  5. Add Catch garam masala powder and stir. Fry it for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add soya sauce and mix well.
  7. Cook until the chicken is soft and tender. Any taste can be adjusted now.
  8. Add mint leaves and fry until they wilt. Chicken should just be moist but not dripping with sauce.
  9. Serve lemon chicken hot.
