Aloo Gobi Recipe

INGREDIENTS

400 grams of cauliflower
300 grams potatoes
2 inches ginger
½ tsp. Catch turmeric powder
1 tsp. Kashmiri red chili powder
½ tsp Catch garam masala powder
Coriander leaves
4 tbsp. oil or ghee
Catch table salt, as required
Accompaniments with Aloo Gobi:

  • Roti/Naan
  • Dal
  • Raita

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Chop the cauliflower and rinse the floret well. Boil water to which some salt has been added and take it in a bowl or pan.
  2. Add the florets. Cover the bowl and blanch them in hot water.
  3. Meanwhile, slice the potatoes in wedges. Drain the cauliflower and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil or ghee in a pan.
  5. Lower the flame and add the aloo.
  6. Stir the potatoes well and sauté them on a low flame.
  7. Add the cauliflower and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Add chopped ginger, Catch turmeric powderCatch red chili powder, Catch salt.
  9. Stir again. Cover the pan. Simmer the vegetables and spices for 15 -20 minutes on a low flame.
  10. Keep stirring in between.
  11. Serve hot.

  • Alter the seasoning as per your taste.
